Professional Background
Charlotte Kells has over 20 years experience coaching executives and managers in diverse leadership roles and across many industries. Her strength as an executive coach is her ability to create a comfortable professional environment where she actively listens and facilitates solution focused dialogue. She encourages clients to define their visions, set meaningful goals, use creative thinking strategies, stay focused, and produce concrete results. Her coaching has helped clients improve communications skills, build their teams, develop new workplace cultures, improve peer collaboration, develop work/life balance, and navigate careers - meeting critical personal and professional goals.
Experience
Charlotte is the owner of an organizational effectiveness consulting firm in the Bay Area; specializing in organizational development, leadership and career coaching, group facilitation, and custom training. She brings seven years direct management experience as Vice President and Director of Human Resources in financial services. Prior to that, she worked in the retail industry as a trainer/management development specialist.
As a trained Mediator, she works successfully individually and with teams to resolve conflict, problem-solve core issues, and build alignment during times of change. For twenty years, she was a participant at the Creative Problem Solving Institute in Buffalo, NY; and for eleven years was a faculty member in their Facilitating Creative Leadership Program. During those years, she has taught multi-cultural leadership groups the Osborn Parnes Creative Problem Solving model, tools and techniques for creative thinking, and the skills to create high performance, innovative teams. In 1992, Charlotte became a Colleague of the Creative Education Foundation in recognition of her work at the Institute.

Charlotte holds a BS in Education and English from the University of Michigan and a Master’s Degrees in both Education and Business from the University of Michigan and Lesley College.
She is certified to administer the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and The Element B in her team building and consulting work. Also, she is certified in The Career Architect, Personal Directions, The Leadership Effective Analysis (LEA), Integrative Enneagram, Hogan Assessments, and Leadership Agility 360 Coaching Tools for her executive coaching work. In addition, she has completed advanced courses with The Coaches Training Institute.
